Hand of Hope with Interactive Games
The Hand of Hope's real-time interactive games play an important part in the rehabilitation process and will enhance the training outcomes and help to motivate the patient, increasing the patient's interaction with the therapist.
Levels of game and time for training can be set for specific patients. Level 3 and Level 4 of each game requires the patient to move their arm to complete the games tasks.
Games are aimed to achieve:
1. Initiate voluntary muscle contraction for finger opening through interactive use of the EMG feedback system.
2. Maintain voluntary muscle contraction through interactive use of the EMG feedback system.
3. Improve coordination through interactive use of the EMG feedback system.
4. Improve muscle strength.
5. Improve motor learning.
6. Improve coordination between finger opening and closing.
7. Improve coordination through interactive use of the EMG feedback system and reach function by moving the forearm.
